ERIC H. KIM

President & CEO

Eric has over 30 years of experience in the Private Banking and Asset Management industry. His investment career began at JB Oxford & Company where he ultimately headed a Korean Division for the firm, implementing national marketing initiatives to grow the business in Korean American Community. After serving several years for the firm, he joined Charles Schwab & Co. and Merrill Lynch International, servicing both domestic and international institution and high net worth clients from Singapore, Hong Kong, and Seoul. In 2008, he formed his own investment firm, providing private banking services. Eric has passed the FINRA license, including Series 7, 4, 24, 9, 10, 63 and 66. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.

 

FREDERICK J. RUOPP, JR.

Corporate Advisor & Portfolio Manager

As an independent Corporate Advisor, Mr. Ruopp manages portfolios and is a member of the Investment Committee, he also manages technology for Mont Blanc Asset. He brings this technological expertise and experience to bear as a member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Ruopp Jr. has 25 years of computer science experience in the academic and business world, and has worked at Chelsea Management for over two decades. He did his undergraduate work at San Diego State University and at California Polytechnic University Pomona. He has received an IBM certificate in computer programming. In addition, Mr. Ruopp has worked in the well-known Dr. Weiss biogenetic research lab at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a past president of the Los Angeles Serra Club, and on the board of MEND (Meet Each Need with Dignity).

 

JAEMO KOO

Managing Director

Jae developed understanding in corporate operations, finance and business development as well as real estate investment strategies and value-add renovations from working directly with corporate executives at Daewoo International America, Samsung Research America and J&M Spectrum. Jae has passed the FINRA license series 65 and has registered as investment advisor representative, providing asset management and private equity transaction services. Jae earned B.S., degree in hotel administration & real estate finance and minor degree with business law concentration from Connell University in NY. Jae Involved in various start-up ventures in many parts of the world, including Asia, Middle East, Europe and the U.S., in variety of industries including communications, construction, and entertainment in addition to forming various global joint ventures​​​​​​.

 

ANDREW WEERARATNE, CPA

Managing Director 

Mr. Weeraratne, serving as an independent advisor to Mont Blanc Asset, plays a pivotal role in our core business operations. Leveraging his extensive expertise in Pre-IPO and IPO domains, Mr. Weeraratne is instrumental in guiding the company through the entire process, from inception to execution. With a career spanning back to 1982, he has effectively represented both domestic and foreign clients in matters pertaining to investments in the U.S. and international taxation. Andrew holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in Florida, a credential he has maintained since 1981. From April 2019 to August 2020, Andrew held the positions of Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Acqusalut Inc., which pursued a Regulation A offering to secure public funding for live entertainment productions. In August 2018, he founded Mfusion Corp., an endeavor focused on live entertainment shows and raising capital through the sale of Mfusion Digital Coins, convertible into shares of Mfusion Corp. Notably, in August 2020, the management of Mfusion Corp. transferred ownership to two entrepreneurs who initiated a CBD-Coffee business. Presently, Andrew serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Mfusion Corp.

His expertise spans accounting, auditing, and general business and management consulting, particularly for middle-market, family-owned, and private equity-managed manufacturers, distributors, and other consumer product companies. While Mr. Ju's experience covers a broad array of industries, he has developed specialized knowledge in manufacturing, distribution, and apparel sectors, advising pioneering companies in a dynamic business environment.

As a respected CPA, Mr. Ju has been a sought-after speaker, addressing both the general public and professionals, including bankers. He has also served on the boards of various professional and charitable organizations. His recognition by major financial institutions in the U.S. attests to his deep expertise and understanding of the industry.
